Sport Fishing, also known as Charter Fishing, is both one of the most relaxing and exciting attractions in Fort Lauderdale.  Some of the biggest and most sought after game fish in the world are found about 1 mile off of the Fort Lauderdale coast.  The fish migrate to Fort Lauderdale year round and depending on the time of year, you will catch King Fish, Tuna, Wahoo, Sail Fish, Marlin, Sword Fish, Mahi-Mahi, Snapper, Grouper, Cobia, Amberjack, Barracuda, and even Big Game Sharks.

The fishing trip begins with a 10 minute cruise through Fort Lauderdale's intracoastal waterway, where you will see some of the most extravagant and beautiful waterfront homes in South Florida.  Then, you'll cruise to the deep sea where you may stop at the bait fish buoy for 5-10 minutes to catch some fresh live bait fish. With the live bait, you can go fishing in the deep sea for big fish. 

On a sport fishing charter, you get the entire charter fishing boat privately for up to 6 people. The charter boat is the same price whether there is only 1 person or 6 people in your party.

For a longer fishing experience, the 6 or 8 hour fishing charter are the preferred fishing trips because you get a lot of extra fishing time to travel to other fishing locations that you can't reach on a 4 hour charter and are not frequented as often.
